Doug Fisher

Doug Fisher has worked with a variety of business, government and nonprofit clients and serves as director of “Discover New England for Business,” a six state, regional development initiative of The New England Council. He is also founder of the interstate Hartford-Springfield Economic Partnership, launched the Connecticut Main Street Center and formed Community Builders Institute, an award-winning educational program for nonprofit and government officials. Doug served as a corporate manager and director at Northeast Utilities (NU) for 17 years, where he led the company’s Economic Development and Community Relations Group.  Prior to joining NU, Doug was a director with the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, where he led the trade group’s government compliance and education services.
